Poka Yoke / Mistake Proofing Lean Building Brick Exercise

People only perform as well as their processes. When a process is poorly designed, it is prone to failures that often create conflicts between employees and with management. Asking team members to use an unreliable process is not only bad for quality and productivity, but it also lowers job satisfaction.

Instead, create processes that prevent problems in the first place. This Lean Building Brick training exercise provides instructors with a tool to help students get hands-on experience using poka-yokes to error-proof a process.

In this exercise, up to four teams will develop a fixture to create a model. After they are done, the fixtures will be put to the test.
